I joined Clyde & Co in 2013 as an Associate, after completing a Bachelor of Commerce/Laws at the University of New South Wales and spending some time working at a major Australian financial services firm and have recently been promoted to Senior Associate.

Clyde & Co's focus on the insurance sector means that I've been able to work on a range of interesting matters that cover all aspects of the industry, from corporate advisory to complex claims and disputes, which often have an international element.

During my time at Clyde & Co, I've been fortunate enough to have been involved in advising on the Australian aspect of the merger of two large global insurers, as well as acting for insurers on high profile warranty & indemnity insurance claims and directors & officers insurance claims, which were litigated in multi-party proceedings. 

I was also seconded to the in-house legal team at a global insurer for 3 months, which allowed me to deepen my understanding of the industry and gave me valuable insight into working with our clients.

The ability to work with a range of experienced lawyers and partners specialising in different areas of insurance law provided me with a valuable opportunity to learn from the best in the field at an early stage of my career. The high calibre of the matters, combined with a supportive and team-oriented culture makes Clyde & Co a great place to work.

Clyde & Co is also particularly supportive of my involvement in various committees, both internally on the social committee and externally as part of an Australian young insurance professionals organisation, which reflects the collegial and inclusive culture of the firm.
