London Vacation Scheme Testimonial - Sophia

Meet Sophia, a final year student who just participated in our London Vacation Scheme. Today, she shares her experience.

 “Last week I had the absolute pleasure of being part of Clyde & Co's Summer Vacation Scheme in their London office.

It has been wonderful to work with the Energy, Engineering, Marine and Construction Team. Over the two weeks, I had the chance to work alongside talented professionals, attend client meetings and draft attendance and research notes. Attending team meetings and spending time in the office provided invaluable insight into the day-to-day workings and culture of an international law firm.

The work was at times challenging [but in a good way!] and enabled great learning and development opportunities. Having not covered insurance law at university, this experience was insightful and deeply interesting.

Thank you to everyone at Clyde & Co for being so welcoming and supportive throughout the scheme. I would also like to individually thank:

• The Early Careers Team, for their invaluable support during both the lead up to the scheme and throughout the whole two weeks.
• My supervisor, Max Braslavsky (Senior Associate), for providing me with fantastic opportunities throughout my time in the team.
• My trainee buddy, Teresa Boardman (Trainee Solicitor), who made me feel so welcome and always assisted me.
• My mentor, Flavia Pizzino (Legal Director), for her guidance prior to and during the scheme.
