Meet the team - Cristina Pérez Ruiz, Senior Associate

Cristina Pérez Ruiz is a Senior Associate in our Madrid office. Today, she is sharing her story.

“Hello everyone! I’m a Senior Associate in Clyde & Co's Madrid office. I'm part of the Aviation, Marine and Insurance teams, focusing on litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters.

I joined Clyde & Co because it's the most prestigious international insurance and transport law firm in Spain. I clearly remember the moment, seven years ago, when a member of the Marine Masters program I was attending took us out of class and announced that a vacancy had opened up at a law firm. They asked who wanted to be a real lawyer, and I remember answering, 'I do, but only if it's a firm like Clyde & Co,' and BINGO!

As well as the opportunity of being part of a fantastic firm, what I value most about Clyde & Co are the people who make it up and the fact that I feel 100% committed to my team. When I joined the team, it was five of us, today we're a team of 18. It has been wonderful being a part and a witness of the growth!

Based on my experience, I believe that the most important aspect of being part of a firm such as Clyde & Co is attitude. Specifically, having a high capacity for overcoming challenges and being an empathetic person, so that in addition to providing excellent and timely service, you're able to build trust with your clients and your team members. In my opinion I'd say that´s the key to professional success.”
