Meet the team – Marcella Hill, Partner

Marcella Hill is a Partner based in our London office. Today, she is sharing her story.

“Hi everyone. I'm Marcella Hill, a partner in our Corporate Insurance team in London, advising clients across the UK, Europe, and Latin America. My practice focuses on M&A, regulatory matters, and cross-border reorganisation and structuring for insurers, reinsurers, brokers, and MGAs.

I work closely with clients navigating complex transactions and regulatory change, particularly in emerging markets such as Brazil, where I also work on the firm’s Latin American insurance initiatives.

Day-to-day, my work ranges from advising boards and legal teams on strategic investments, setting up business operations, and restructurings to coordinating multi-jurisdictional projects involving regulators, tax advisers, and local counsel. I enjoy the variety of issues we work on and the opportunity to build long-term relationships with clients who operate in a fast-moving, highly regulated sector.

I feel privileged to work alongside a great team, some of whom we have been together for over a decade and with fantastic clients that have also become friends.

I joined Clyde & Co from another international firm to help strengthen its international corporate insurance offering — bringing together our market-leading regulatory expertise with transactional capability across key markets, including UK and Brazil. Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my young daughter, my partner and my family. I enjoy being outdoors, especially spending time by the sea, and exploring new places (and cuisines).”
