Overview

Our Dubai Emerging Talent Intern Programme is a two-week immersive experience designed to introduce you to life at Clyde & Co and the foundations of a career in commercial law.

Week One focuses on building your understanding of the firm and the core skills required to succeed as a trainee lawyer. Through a series of interactive, skills-based sessions, you will gain insight into how we operate across our UAE and international offices, develop key commercial and professional skills, and explore what it takes to thrive in a global law firm environment.

Week Two shifts to practical application. You will take part in a combination of work simulation exercises designed to mirror the type of tasks our trainees undertake alongside real work shadowing opportunities within your chosen practice area. Throughout this, you will receive guidance and supervision from our lawyers, helping you build confidence and apply what you have learned in a real-world context.

Across the two weeks, you will meet our people, experience our collaborative culture, and gain a clear understanding of the skills, mindset, and behaviors required to succeed as a commercial lawyer at Clyde & Co. As you learn more about us, we’ll also work with you to understand your strengths and aspirations, helping you identify the career path that aligns with your ambitions.

Following the programme, you will have the opportunity to apply for our UAE Emerging Leadership Programme, taking the next step in your journey towards a training contract.

The programme will run in person in our Dubai office from the 15th - 26th June 2026.

More information

Our intention is to deliver the programme in person, providing you with the best possible experience of our culture and working environment.

However, we continue to closely monitor developments in the region. Should circumstances change and it is not safe or feasible to host the programme in person, we will deliver a high-quality virtual alternative.

Where this happens, we will also look to provide participants with the opportunity to visit the office at a later stage, so you can still experience the firm in person.

Yes, Emirati students studying in the UK, US, or elsewhere are strongly encouraged to apply. We recognize international qualifications and assess them in line with their local grading systems.

In the UAE, we generally look for candidates on track for, or who have achieved, the equivalent of a CGPA of 3.0-3.3 or above (depending on institution).

For international applicants:

  • UK: 2:1 or above
  • US: GPA of approximately 3.3+
  • Other systems: Equivalent strong academic performance

We understand grading systems vary, so each application is reviewed holistically.

The programme is paid. Further details will be provided at the offer stage.

Successful participants will have the opportunity to apply for our Emerging UAE Leadership Programme, which is a key pathway towards securing a training contract or entry level role with the firm.
