Da-Shon Dixon, Associate - Meet the team

Da-Shon Dixon is an Associate in our Atlanta office. Today, he is sharing his story.

"Hi! I’m Da-Shon Dixon, an Associate in our Atlanta office, where I focus on professional liability (PL) coverage counseling and litigation. My practice centers on navigating complex coverage disputes under liability policies that cover a wide array of licensed professionals—including attorneys, physicians, insurance agents and brokers, architects, and engineers. While I primarily represent insurers in coverage disputes, I’m also occasionally retained as insurance defense counsel.

Typically, my workday involves conducting legal research, reviewing and interpreting PL forms, investigating coverage issues, and preparing coverage opinions and position letters. The challenges I tackle are often novel and technical, which keeps me engaged and constantly learning.

I grew up in coastal South Georgia, the heart of the Bible Belt, where I was—and still am—an avid sports fan. hashtag#GoDawgs! hashtag#DawgsOnTop! Like many kids down South, I dreamed of playing sports for a living, and never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I’d become an attorney. That said, I’m incredibly grateful for the journey that led me here.

In 2022, I lateralled, seeking to deepen my PL coverage expertise. Since then, I've had the privilege of working with an exceptionally talented and innovative team—especially in Atlanta—where we routinely help clients navigate today’s most complex and emerging risks.
