Meet the team - Daniel M. Pammer, Senior Counsel

Daniel M. Pammer is a Senior Counsel based in our Chicago office. Today, he shares his story.

"Hello, I’m Daniel M. Pammer and I am a senior counsel working out of the Chicago office. Before earning my titles and obtaining my license to practice, it was my journey into law that cemented my passion for the legal system.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, I worked as a law clerk throughout college and undergraduate school to determine if this field was right for me. During my clerkship, I had several mentors that would bring me on trial—from New York to Washington state—to assist with daily tasks and help strategize. While attending these trials, I became immensely interested in the legal system and how cases were argued from both perspectives. With these experiences, I knew the legal field was right for me.

I joined Clyde & Co in January 2019 and hold licensure in Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, New York, and Wyoming. I primarily handle defense and monitoring work for insured and self-insured clients involved in complex casualty, premises liability, product liability, and transportation matters throughout the country.
 
Since joining Clyde & Co in January 2019, I have seen incredible growth, not just within the firm, but in my own career as well. Our firm has provided the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients domestically and internationally in a plethora of matters. Most people think working for a large law firm is daunting, but here I truly feel at home. With the cohesive effort amongst offices, colleagues who are always willing to help, and truly incredible staff, Clyde & Co is the right fit for me.
 
In 2024, I was nominated to take part in our firm’s Next Generation London Market Initiative, which has provided me an opportunity to visit the London market and meet with our closest clients to strengthen relationships while building my own book. This program and the firm have entrusted me to provide trainings and meet with hundreds of clients that work with our firm from around the world. One of the events I most look forward to is our annual US Litigation School and Mock Trial, where we provide a peak into how cases are handled in the US for an audience of international clients.
 
Outside of work, my wife and I enjoy spending time with our kids and dog, along with traveling. Whether it’s floor hockey, ice hockey, flag football or dance, we love to spend time with our kids doing the things they love. Being part of Clyde & Co has allowed me to be actively involved in my children’s school and activities, due in large part to the flexibility and trust I have experienced.
 
As a tip to any aspiring or young attorney, try your best to build long-lasting relationships on both sides of the aisle, it will take you much further."
