Meet the team - Kate Hargan, Legal Director

Kate Hargan is a Legal Director in our Manchester office and Head of the Motor Crime Team at Clyde & Co. Today, she is sharing her story.

"I represent drivers involved in serious and fatal road traffic collisions and advise corporates. My job can be challenging, as my clients have often been through a traumatic experience and may face the possibility of a custodial sentence.

From my days in law school, I knew I wanted to be a criminal solicitor because I wanted to represent real people and ensure a just outcome.

Since joining Clyde & Co in 2017, I’ve truly appreciated the flexibility my role offers. Clyde & Co’s commitment to flexible working allows me to work hard when needed, while also balancing family life. It’s a balance that all parents strive for, and I’m fortunate to have found a firm and a department that understands the needs of working parents. This support helps me stay committed and responsive to my clients.
